A Service represents a single visit to a customer's property and contains one or more applied products.
- Program Integration: Services are typically grouped into Programs (e.g., multi-application packages). However, a single service can be assigned to multiple programs simultaneously, eliminating the need to recreate identical services for different packages.
- Standalone Services: Services not tied to a multi-application program can be offered independently. For details, see Standalone Services.
The Services Screen Overview
The main Services screen serves as your central catalog, displaying:
- All active services registered in your account.
- Associated products included in each service.
- Program assignments for each service entry.
How To Add a new Service:
Click the “Add Service” button at the top left of your screen
Here you enter your service name and service price
Next you’ll choose product(s) that are applied during this service and which programs you would like to assign your service to
We recommend creating all products before creating services, however, you can add new products from this screen if necessary
Service Name Type allows you to categorize services into types (like Lawn, Mosquito, Tree & Shrub, etc). You can use this in several places throughout SPRAYE in reporting and scheduling.
Service Description will be shown on all Pay as You Go invoices
Estimate Service Description will be shown on all estimates if it is set (this is in case you want a different description for services on your estimate during the sales process).
Service Notes can be used to add dynamically to automated service emails to give pre or post-service instructions that are specific to that service.
The Pre-service instructions will appear in the customer's pre-service notifications. You will need to add this dynamic field {PRE_SERVICE_INSTRUCTIONS} into your email templates in Settings where you want it to show.
The Post-service instructions will appear in the customer's post-service completion email. You will need to add this dynamic field {POST_SERVICE_INSTRUCTIONS} into your email templates in Settings where you want it to show.
If the service is Tax Exempt then change the "Tax Exempt" option to "Yes". This will exclude the sales tax calculation for that service. If an invoice is created with multiple services then some may be taxable and other not taxable. This option is not editable after a service is created.
Click the “Submit” button at the bottom right of the screen to save your new program
How to Edit an Existing Service
- Navigate to the Services table.
- Open the editor by clicking either the Service Name or the Edit icon in the Action column on the far right.
- Apply your modifications.
- Click Submit to save your changes.
Deleting a Service
To safeguard operational reporting, transaction logs, and customer histories, direct deletion of services is disabled for standard users.
- Used Services: Any service linked to historical records or completed jobs cannot be deleted under any circumstances.
- Unused/Accidental Services: If a service was created by mistake and has no associated history, our Support Team can manually remove it for you.
How to Request Deletion for an Unused Service:
- Verify that the service has never been assigned, scheduled, or billed.
- Note the exact Service Name(s) requiring removal.
- Submit a ticket to Support confirming that the service has zero historical activity and requesting permanent deletion.
